Hello, and thank you for visiting my website. My name is Pamela Evans, I was born in 1950, and have lived all my life in the Welsh valley town of Maesteg in Mid Glamorgan. Although I was a teenager when I first wrote poetry, it wasn't until 1995 that I submitted some of my work for publishing, when I read a request for poems by the Forward Press in a local newspaper. Since then, over forty of my poems have appeared in various anthologies they have published. As I prefer rhyming poetry, this is what I try to do. To quote from my poem Moments: "A poet can capture moments in time,My poems are usually inspired by events or people in my life, and cover a wide range of subjects including South Wales, Pop Music, Love, and Faith. Occasionally I write about important events, such as the death of Diana Princess of Wales, the bomb explosion at Omagh in Ireland, or for happier personal occasions such as friends' birthdays and anniversaries. However I usually let the poems come to me. As I am single, the more romantic poems are mainly the result of poetic imagination. We all have our dreams, and poetry gives us a way of sharing those dreams with others. Many of the poems have a photograph by the title. Simply click on the photograph if you would like to see a larger version of it. Please observe copyright notices that appear with each photograph. The photograph at the top of this page is copyright, and appears by kind permission of Michelle Muise Please feel free to contact me by E-mail if you have any comments about my poems or this website. If you enjoy your time here, then please take just a few more moments to share your comments with other visitors in the Guest Book before you leave. Thank you!
