Dreaming

I dream that he will smile at me and gaze into my eyes,
Just to hear him speak my name I'd be in paradise.
At a dance he'd hold me close, his arm around my waist,
I could stay there forever, held tight in his embrace.
I dream of walking with him through a woodland glade,
We'd lie on a carpet of bluebells, relaxing in the shade,
Or, on a deserted beach, waves lapping on the shore,
We'd sit and watch the sunset, who could ask for more.
I dream of riding with him on the pillion of his bike,
Roaring through the country lanes, anywhere we like.
We could travel 'round the world, our spirits free as air,
As long as he was with me, I wouldn't have a care.
I dream of being with each one, all of the day through,
But they're just stars on my T.V. screen, those dreams can't come true.
Maybe one day I'll find the man who is right for me,
Until then I have my dreams to keep me company.
